Astrology 101: Black Moon Lilith Through the Houses
Hey star-gazers! This post is dedicated to helping you get to know some other chart points beyond the classical seven and three outer planets.
While regular readers know that I’m a Hellenistic astrologer, my natal Uranus-in-the-third conjunct Jupiter can’t help integrating different schools of astrological thought, tools, and theories into my practice in pursuit of wisdom; obviously, Lilith fits nicely into any astrological toolkit.
First, we’ll cover some mythological and archetypal context for those of you less familiar with Black Moon Lilith. I’ll also discuss my own perspective on effectively using Lilith in chart interpretation, including where I think it could supplement and not duplicate other information that can be gleaned using the classical seven and three outer planets. Finally, I’ll provide a quick rundown of Lilith through the houses and the signs.
With that, let’s dig in.
Three Liliths
It’s important to note that when we talk about Lilith, there are, in fact, three different Liliths that an astrologer could be referring to.
The first is asteroid 1181, Lilith, which orbits the middle region of the Sun. It circumnavigates Sol in the middle asteroid belt once every four years and four months.
