By Jove, I think we’ve got it! — The Astrology of June 2025*

I haven’t decided how I feel about Saturn entering Aries yet. Granted, it’s brief. Later this summer, Saturn re-enters Pisces on its retrograde sojourn — a final reckoning with everything I’ve hated about its transit and a much-needed peace-making with its lessons. On the first day of June, in the late-spring sunshine, Kronos will have crept quietly into the vernal sign, hovering around 0°29', breathing in the chaotic fumes of shape-shifting Neptune.

On the one hand, I wonder if we might feel some reprieve? Personally, I struggled with Saturn and, frankly, Neptune in Pisces. As these planets transited my sixth house, squaring the domicile ruler in its natal position, so much of my storyline consisted of swimming upstream. Discipline and focus felt tenuous despite my desire to crank things out at an exhausting pace. Yes, I forced myself to produce even when I was distracted — I wrote, I blogged, I undertook mammoth projects that felt larger and more intimidating than a cargo ship — but, after the countless hours invested, I feel like I barely netted any meaningful gains. Sure, there were tangible outputs and yet I didn’t feel as if I had made any progress.

I realize that can be Saturn’s bag; it’s the planet of the grind, the Seven of Pentacles, the Three of Swords, the Eight of Cups, the Ten of Wands, the Devil. These are the Tarot cards that fill me with dread when I pull them, bracing me for heartache, regret, burden, and toil. Maybe it’s my glass-half-empty default — the…
